Analyzer values land on the result as drafts. The medtech accepts, edits or ignores each one, and lab work continues normally if every analyzer is off: manual entry always works.
Templates exist for the Mindray BC-5140 and BC-5390 hematology analyzers and the BS-240 Pro chemistry analyzer; Mindray BC hematology is field-tested with host query. Because every lab's analyzer mix differs, interfacing is scoped and quoted per site after a survey of each machine.
What's included
- HL7 v2.3.1 (MLLP) or ASTM E1381 over TCP/IP
- Host query and worklist orders, with an outbox when the analyzer is offline
- Results matched by specimen barcode; nothing posts until a medtech accepts
- Test-code mapping with suggested fields and unit factors
- Unmatched-results queue, so no result is lost
- Listen or connect mode per analyzer
- Raw message viewer and export for the analyzer supplier; 180-day retention by default
- Bidirectional mode is switched on at the analyzer during setup
Analyzer interfacing is a custom project, quoted per site after a survey of each analyzer.
